The Commission reviewed minutes of October 11, 2007. Guild moved, McHugh seconded and the Commission approved the minutes as written.
The Commissioners reviewed the draft design guidelines and added 4 more photographs and removed one. There were several other changes to the narrative.
Fitzwilliam moved, McHugh seconded and the Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt the new design guidelines.
The Commissioners reviewed a draft of an historic district ordinance. (The draft ordinance was also reviewed by Nadine Peterson, Preservation Planner with the NH Division of Historical Resources, and her suggestions are incorporated. The Commission was advised by a Local Government Center attorney that the current ordinance, enacted in 1970, is inadequate and illegal given changes in the enabling statute since then.)
The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 PM.
