Commissioners reviewed the Klinck application to rebuild an 18th century outbuilding on his property located at 139 Route 119 West. Mr. Klinck was not able to be present and had asked the Commission to review the application in his absence.
Mr. Klinck wrote that the existing outbuilding was disassembled and is to be reassembled with existing structural members properly reattached to eliminate rack of the building. He plans to restore it to its original exterior with clapboard siding, dark gray asphalt roofing, and either white or barn red paint.
Commission members noted the homestead is a beautiful building that has been well restored. The outbuilding is in the back of the property out of public view.
Finding that the application meets historic district guidelines, and the building will look appropriate and traditional, Luddy moved, Guild seconded and the Commission voted to approve the application.
Commissioners reviewed minutes of February 14, 2008. Guild moved, McHugh seconded and the Commission approved the minutes as written.
McHugh reported on training session sponsored by the NH Preservation Alliance she attended with Walling and Gillis. All agreed it was informative. Materials and ideas were shared. The commission decided to begin a reconnaissance survey of historic properties in town that are not in the historic district. They will review the certified local governments program materials for the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:37 PM.
