Public Meeting
April 9, 2009
Members attending: John Fitzwilliam, Ken Beckwith, Lottie Guild, Eileen McHugh, Reuel Walling and Carmen Yon, Selectmen’s representative.

Commissioners welcomed new member Kenneth Beckwith. Commissioners reviewed the minutes of the March 12, 2009 meeting. Beckwith moved, Guild seconded and the Commission voted to approve the minutes as written.
Commissioners reviewed the Olyan application to paint shutters and doors a different color. Mr. Olyan will repaint his house the same color. The samples submitted were Colonial Revival Grey for the shutters and garage doors, and Rockwood Red for the two house doors. McHugh moved, Walling seconded and the Commission voted to approve this application as presented. Beckwith recused himself as an abutter.
Commissioners took several minutes to examine the three binders of the antique houses (1900 and older) in town compiled by Selectman Yon. They cover the periods 1750-1799, 1800-1849 and 1850-1900. Members discussed various properties and their histories. All expressed their appreciation for Carmen’s efforts to produce this valuable reference material for the future.
The Commission will discuss their input to the master planning process at the next meeting.
Guild moved, Beckwith seconded and the Commissioners vote to adjourn the meeting at 4:41 PM.
