Tim Austin application to make a few exterior changes to the second floor of his garage located at 119 NH Route 12.
Mr. Austin plans to add a dormer with a new door and deck on the second floor and a second overhead door on the first floor of the garage. The second floor is planned to become living space in the future. Mr. Austin will seek a special exception from the ZBA to allow a combined business and dwelling in the residential district.
Commissioners examined the plans and determined that the exterior changes would be seen from Lower Troy Road only. Mr. Austin volunteered that he would like to reside the vinyl clad structure with brick in the future, to be more in keeping with the historic district.
Walling moved, McHugh seconded and the Commission voted to ask Mr. Austin to add the future re-siding to the application so he can proceed whenever he is ready, without coming to the Commission again.
Guild moved, Walling seconded and the Commission voted to approve the application as presented and amended.
Minutes. Commissioners reviewed minutes of the June 11, 2009 meeting. Beckwith moved, Walling seconded and the Commission approved the minutes as written.
Yon suggested further research into the dates of the oldest homes to verify the accuracy of the tax cards and the inventory. Guild will check records at the Historical Society.
McHugh moved, Beckwith seconded and the Commissioners voted to adjourn the meeting at 4:30 PM.
