BOARD MEETING MINUTES
February 24, 2010
Selectmen Present: Thomas Parker, Chmn., Carmen Yon & Susan Silverman arrived at 7:10 pm
Mr. Parker opened the meeting at 7:00 pm
PRIMARY:
*** SIGN Payroll and Accounts Payable Manifests: Reviewed and approved
*** BUILDING PERMIT – TAX MAP 38 LOT 02: Mr. Yon moved to approve, the motion was seconded by Mr.
Parker, the motion passed 2-0.
*** SIGN PERMIT APPLICATION – MAUREEN DAY: Mr. Yon moved to approve, the motion was seconded by Mr.
Parker, the motion passed 2-0.
*** REVIEW FEE SCHEDULE FOR COPIES ETC.: Our fee schedule for copies is .25 page for copies, assessment
cards $1.00 unless it is for the individuals own card it is free. Mrs. Thompson stated that we need to set an hourly
rate for research. Mr. Parker stated that he feels that it should be set at $35.00 an hour based upon straight time.
If the research requires overtime there will be an extra $10.00 per hour. Mr. Parker stated that if it is a sizable job
we would require money up front. Mr. Yon feels that we need to set a three hour threshold and then they would
have to pay us for work done, if there is additional then they pay for the next hours.
*** PERSONNEL ISSUE - NON-PUBLIC SESSION
*** VETERANS CREDIT APPLICATION: Mr. Yon moved to approve, the motion was seconded by Mr. Parker, the
motion passed 2-0.
*** ABATEMENT APPLICATION – TAX MAP 10 LOT 47: Mr. Parker stated we can allow people to come in and
talk with us but we have to act on what they present us. This application doesn’t have any reason whatsoever
except that they feel they are over assessed. We will review this at the same time we review all of the other
abatements.
*** INFORMATION ABOUT TIMBER HARVESTING: The board does not feel that the preliminary consultation
applies to the regulations with regard to timber harvesting and subdivisions. Mrs. Silverman stated that she would
like to get more information with regard to this issue.
*** LETTER FROM NIRENBERG: The Nirenberg’s responded to our letter requesting a more definitive map for their
current use application. Mrs. Nirenberg stated that they are out of town and cannot provide this information. Mr.
Parker stated that we can give them until June 1, 2010 to provide this information. Mr. Yon moved to grant an
extension until June 1, the motion was seconded by Mrs. Silverman, the motion passed 3-0.
*** COPY OF LETTER SENT TO BOSONETTO: Reviewed
*** LETTER FROM PSNH: Reviewed
*** COPY OF LETTER FROM DES TO MEADOWOOD: Reviewed
*** DECIDE ON ATTENDANCE – SWRPC MEETING: Mr. Parker and Mrs. Silverrman will attend if Mr. Cuomo
wishes to attend.
*** TREASURERS REPORT: Reviewed
*** Mrs. Silverman feels that a long term project for the town is to determine drinking water sources and protection
Mr. Yon stated that the conservation commission may be interested in this project.
*** WIVALLEY: Mrs. Silverman feels that we should pay the bill for the installation. Mr. Parker would like to send a
letter questioning where things stand. Mrs. Silverman moved to make payment on the equipment, the motion
was seconded by Mr. Yon the motion passed 3-0.
*** BOUND TREE BILL: We will write a letter to the firewards stating that we are concerned with this bill and
payments that we are awaiting from other towns. Mr. Parker stated that he would like an itemized list of repairs
on the Moto.
