BOARD MEETING MINUTES
March 31, 2010
Selectmen Present: Tom Parker and Nancy Carney
Selectmen Absent: Susan Silverman
At 7:00pm, Mr. Parker convened the meeting.
PRIMARY:
*** SIGN PAYROLL AND CHECK MANIFESTS: Reviewed and signed
7:15 MEET WITH GENE CUOMO, ROAD AGENT: Mr. Cuomo would like to purchase reflective raincoats for the department.
Chris Rocheleau has purchased one on his own. Mr. Cuomo stated that he would like to reimburse Mr. Rocheleau if the
board decides to purchase these for the employees. Mr. Parker moved to purchase these coats for the highway employees,
the motion was seconded by Ms. Carney, the motion passed 2-0.
7:30 MEET WITH BRIAN DOERPHOLZ: Mr. Doerpholz stated that there are six people who would like to join this committee, Les
Chase, Gene Cuomo, Gary Heald, Chris Pullin, Tracie Smith and Kate Thomas and Mr. Doerpholz. Mr. Parker moved to
appoint these individuals to this committee to work toward an agricultural commission. They would like to meet on the
second Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. Ms. Carney seconded the motion passed 2-0.
*** OPEN LAWNCARE BIDS: Mr. Parker opened the following bids

*** REQUEST TO ORDER EQUIPMENT FROM FOREST FIRE GRANT: Mr. Parker moved to approve the expenditure of these
funds, the motion was seconded by Ms. Carney, the motion passed 2-0.
*** MEMO FROM KEN DASSAU – SAU WITHDRAWAL PLANNING COMMITTEE: They are requesting a recommendation
from the board for a member at large for this committee. Mr. Parker stated that he would recommend Jane Fortson. Ms.
Carney stated that she has never met her, but would agree to this recommendation.
*** DETERMINE MARKET VALUE FOR LAND BEING REMOVED FROM CURRENT USE – MAP 10 LOT 15-01:
*** TIMBER TAX ASSESSMENT:
- OPERATION #09-157-08: 100%
- OPERATION #09-157-07: 42%
*** VETERANS HOSPICE HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION DOCUMENTS: Mrs. Thompson has forwarded these to Bill Chapman to
review.
*** DOT DRIVEWAY PERMIT – SKELTON: Reviewed
*** BUILDING PERMITS:
- MAP 06 LOT 40-04: Ms. Carney moved to approve, the motion was seconded by Mr. Parker, the motion passed 2-0.
- MAP 10 LOT 25: This is for a mobile home on the property while they are rebuilding. We will approve this with the stipulation that this mobile home must be removed within 30 days of the issuance of the occupancy permit for the house. Mr. Parker moved to approve, the motion was seconded by Ms. Carney, the motion passed 2-0.
*** WEEKLY POLICE REPORT: Reviewed
*** DECIDE ON ATTENDENCE:
- LGC REGIONAL DINNER – May 4th : Mr. Parker will attend
*** VACATION REQUEST: Paula Thompson has requested Tuesday, April 6 and and Friday April 9 off. Mr. Parker moved to
approve this request, the motion was seconded by Ms. Carney, the motion passed 2-0.

There being no further business, at 8:00 pm, Mr. Parker made a motion to adjourn, the motion was seconded by Ms. Carney, the motion passed 2-0.
